As a Storywork Counselor and Spiritual Director, I utilized my training from the Allender Center in Narrative Focused Trauma Care, medical training in Trauma Informed Counseling and understanding the neurobiology of trauma. In our work together, we will look at your relational style that is connected to memories of abuse. Naming the feelings and emotions tied to these memories will bring growth and greater understanding of your character, personality and humanness.
I bring a Christian perspective in my engagement with you to consider the presence of God in your life. I do this because ultimately my desire would be for you to experience the presence of God in every moment of your story. I believe healing and hope ultimately come from Jesus, and how you are holding Him and feeling held by Him impacts your heart and your beliefs about your identity and life purpose. I welcome your honesty, doubt, anger and any “wrestling” that you find yourself in the midst of spiritually. I also see clients that don’t identify with the Christian perspective and honor their position, welcoming wherever they are on their own journey.
A Storywork Counselor and Spiritual Director is not a regulated profession by the Department of Regulatory Agencies in the State of Colorado. Your care is of utmost importance to me, so if at any time you or I feel that your care needs something that is out of my scope, I will connect you with the support you need. If you are looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor that can provide a clinical diagnosis, we can connect you with someone on our team that can fulfill this aspect for you.

My personal experience of exploring my story and rewriting my narrative was one of the most valuable and enlightening endeavors of my life. I am grateful that I did not travel that road alone and had attentive spiritual counselors who listened with their hearts.
The journey of exploring my story began in 2011 while attending a Wounded Heart Conference, led by Dr. Dan Allender. I began to name emotions that were tied to abuse and better understand the course of my life. I learned to embrace my narrative and gained a deeper understanding of redemption and joining God, The Author of my story, in rewriting the ending.
I am grateful to be married for 33 years and share my life with my best friend, Steve. We have lived in Colorado for 23 years and we are proud of our three dynamic adult sons, two beautiful daughters in love and two lively granddaughters.
