What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is the practice of being with people as they attempt to deepen their relationship with God. The person seeking direction shares stories of his or her experiences with God, in prayer times, or how he or
she is experiencing spiritual issues. The director listens and asks questions to assist the directee in his or her process of reflection and spiritual growth. Spiritual direction develops a deeper relationship with the spiritual
aspect of being human.

What is Group Spiritual Direction?

We will learn and experience a variety of spiritual exercises (i.e. Lectio Divina, Breath Prayer, Centering Prayer). Participants will have the opportunity to share with the group and also practice "holy listening" for others. As a group, we help each other become more aware of God in our lives, for the sake of others.
